GPS receivers
Pole Lap Logger records from the phone’s own GPS, or from an external Bluetooth LE receiver when you want the numbers sharper. Each model below is spoken to over its own native protocol — nothing to configure, no adapter, no desktop step.

No receiver yet? Choose “This Phone (Device GPS)” from the same model list and record with the phone itself — free, with lap and sector timing unchanged. It reports a position about once a second against ten to twenty-five times a second for the receivers above, so lap times are correspondingly less precise. The phone’s location is also what finds circuits near you and places you on the satellite view while you edit a circuit.
Pairing, in short
- 1 — Power the receiver and leave it out of any other app
- A Bluetooth LE receiver can only be connected to one app at a time. Close the manufacturer’s own app first, and make sure the phone is not already paired to it in system Bluetooth settings.
- 2 — Choose the model in the app
- Home → GPS logger → Manage connection → Add new device, then pick your model. The app already knows the services and characteristics for it.
- 3 — Scan and connect
- The receiver appears in the scan list under its own model name. Select it once and the app remembers it for the next session.
- 4 — Wait for a fix before starting
- The badge on the recording screen turns green when frames are arriving. If the receiver drops out mid-session the badge turns amber and the recording keeps running until it reconnects.
Not on the list?
Support is added one protocol at a time, from a real capture of the device. If you use a Bluetooth LE receiver that is not listed, tell us the exact model name and we will look at what it would take.
